We’re looking for experienced, collaborative, results-driven critical thinkers from a diverse array of personal and professional backgrounds to lead the development and refinement of new venture concepts based on deep customer insights.
The Opportunity
The Venture Leader: Partnership Development will be imbedded across the venture development workstreams in order to use the active work of 1848V to experiment with partnership opportunities that build an ecosystem and network of partners beginning with those that generate immediate value. The maturity of a concept will operate as an indicator of the types of partnerships needed and support prioritization. The Venture Leader: Partnership Development will intentionally establish focus on leveraging partnerships to accelerate achieving the ultimate outcomes that 1848 Ventures desires.
S/he will enable 1848 Ventures’ success by collaborating with the team through the concept development work to understand the strategic goals and partnerships needed to accelerate the creation of new products and business models. S/he will design partnerships through a lens of mutual success for both parties’ targeted business outcomes and nurture those relationships to create long term connection.
The Day to Day
Responsibilities:
Collaborates with the 1848 Ventures team to understand the strategic goals and partnership needs to guide efforts
Engages in the ecosystem to identify, develop and expand relationships in support of 1848 Ventures’ strategic focus areas to accelerate new product and business model development
Designs partnerships that are structured for mutual success by working to thoroughly understand the business objectives of both organizations
Participates in concept and venture development efforts to improve the quality of new products and business models by offering insights and thoughts in a generative approach
Leverage both internal and external relationships to identify synergies to maximize partnership value to 1848 Ventures
Contributes to further refinement of the 1848 Ventures business strategy
Monitors, analyzes and reports on the status of individual initiatives, projects and/or other workstreams
Ensures after-action reviews are performed and the insights are incorporated into future efforts
Manage priorities and workload distribution, continually develop and refine the processes, tools, metrics, techniques and technologies used in ensuring high-quality results
Qualifications:
7+ years of experience developing and nurturing partnerships that resulted in accelerating business outcomes
5+ years of experience leading change, managing stakeholders, achieving buy-in among disparate audiences and delivering results in a variety of settings
3+ years customer or business-development experience preferred
5+ years of proven experience as a high performer, while executing with speed and agility and applying creativity to the work
